Our client, a leading industry leader globally, is seeking an experienced Head of HR with strong HR set up and change skills to join their team.

 

About the Role – What Sets This Leadership Role Apart?  

This position will serve as the strategic HR advisory leadership to shape strategy for the market business, in addition to being responsible for developing the plan for attracting, developing and retaining the talent for the business.  This individual will serve on the market’s senior management team and bring a greater emphasis to the organization around commercial and strategic skills development which will facilitate effective management and leadership alignment around the Strategic Plan. Responsible for leading an HR team with the following capabilities: recruitment operations, talent management, performance management, training, rewards, payroll and HR Systems, communications, employee relations and HR regulations and compliance. 

 

As a Regional People & Culture Lead, you will:

  • Participate as a key member of the senior leadership team and work as a strategic partner with the Market Business Head and functional leaders on all people/HR related matters
  • Manage the people topics of the business strategy and define, develop and deliver an Market HR strategy, plans and frameworks in line with the Group HR strategy
  • Provide market insights to business leaders so that People & HR strategies, policies and frameworks meet the requirements in each country within the Market. This includes learning and development, DE&I, rewards, systems, talent acquisition, and all other group HR functions.
  • Lead, manage & develop a high performing HR team, setting objectives and coaching the team in accordance with Group performance management and training processes
  • Work in partnership with the business leaders and internal stakeholders to promote Group’s values, build engagement and promote the employer brand
  • Accountable for implementing all talent strategy, talent & manpower planning, recruitment, compensation frameworks, performance management and engagement programs in market as well as monitoring the quality of the execution and evaluating outcomes

 

The ideal candidate should possess successful experience in:

  • Operating at a strategic HR and senior level in a matrixed organization
  • Creation and Delivery of a market strategic HR plan 
  • Coaching at senior management level
  • Line Management experience of an HR team of generalist and specialist capabilities
  • Stakeholder management
  • Very good understanding of employment legislation and/or contractual obligations (both implied and expressed) 
  • Management of people-related impacts during organizational change
  • Sound experience of organizing workloads, prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Bilingual fluency (English AND Cantonese) is essential.
  • Tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and high levels of integrity required in dealing with sensitive issues
