The HR job market in the United States remains highly competitive and challenging. Currently, we have 30 open positions available, primarily targeting mid-level roles, which is consistent with the first quarter's trends. However, it's worth noting that the latest US Job Reports indicate a growth in overall job numbers for May, as reported by The New York Times in May 2023.


Within the HR field, specialist roles such as Compensation, Benefits, and Total Rewards have witnessed increased activity, with a focus on talent retention and attraction. Organizations are streamlining their operations, resulting in a heightened significance of the talent function and closer alignment of HR Business Partners with the overall business objectives. Industry experience plays a crucial role in demonstrating business and commercial acumen. 


The concept of hybrid work has become the new norm, and we tend to see a minimum requirement of three days working from the office. This shift has implications for both employers and job seekers, necessitating careful crafting of candidates' stories to align with the specific needs of their desired employers. To support candidates in this endeavour, we are planning a Business Storytelling Workshop in the Q3 in partnership with Arcadia Consulting.
