In this week’s episode Emily Ramji chats to Dan Silverman, Head of Diversity Talent Sourcing at Bloomberg.
Dan spent six years in agency recruitment, and the following seven years working in house for Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and now Bloomberg.
As discussed in previous episodes, the business case for creating and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce has never been clearer. Many organisations are now grappling with how to actively increase the diversity of their employee base. In 2020 Bloomberg created a new function to specifically focus on sourcing diverse talent. Dan shares his experience of setting up this function, its strategy, the challenges and successes along the way.
